May 1, 2006 SAVE THE DATE: MONDAY, AUGUST 14, 2006 2ND ANNUAL OHIO FIRE SAFETY COALITION BURN INVITATIONAL Dear Invitee: The Ohio Fire Safety Coalition is proud to announce its 2nd ANNUAL OFSC BURN INVITATIONAL to be held Monday, August 14th at the Glenmoor Country Club in Canton, Ohio (www.glenmoorcc.com). Mark your calendar - because we are expecting another outstanding event this year. We need your support and do not want you to miss out on this great event! This year’s event will have a Sunday, August 13th Texas Holdem Tournament for those of you who want to try your luck and Monday, August 14th will include the 4-man golf scramble followed by an evening awards ceremony and silent and live auctions. This event is coordinated by the Ohio Fire Safety Coalition. The coalition’s purpose is to inform the public about fire safety and the life-saving value of home fire sprinkler systems. This benefit will raise funds for the Akron Children’s Hospital Burn Center, the ACBC Burn Camp for Kids, and fire safety educational programs. A portion of the proceeds will also go to benefit Akron Children’s Hospital Cancer Center. In 2005 the 1st Annual OFSC Burn Invitational raised $30,000 for Akron Children’s Hospital. This was a great start to a new tradition in Ohio. The Burn Center delivers specialized care – from injury through rehabilitation – for burn victims of all ages. Children’s Hospital is one of only two pediatric burn centers in the country with a burn center that treats adults. Each year, the staff of the Burn Center treats 200 inpatients and 1,800 outpatients in their comprehensive 12-bed unit and outpatient clinic. In early June, you will receive an invitation to the OFSC Burn Invitational with details about event sponsorship and registration. This same invitation will be accessible on our website at www.ohiofsc.org. You may also get an early in on sponsorships by filling out the enclosed sponsorship pledge form.
